We are fiduciaries, not sales people who are paid on commission.  Our fiduciary duty requires putting our clients' interests ahead of our own, and acting loyally, in utmost good faith and with due care.

North Point Portfolio Managers consists of three portfolio managers, one investment analyst and four portfolio assistants.  We limit the number of client relationships to approximately 300 in order to best serve each and every client.

Our approach to managing client investments has proven successful over time, using a consistent process of valuation.  Our analysis and assessment of stocks and bonds has been instrumental to the growth of our clients' portfolios.  Despite market volatility in the years since the firm's inception in 1999, persistence in our strategy has resulted in long term out-performance.

Our client portfolios are free of unnecessary influence from creators and distributors of complex or sophisticated financial products.  We invest in individual stocks and bonds.  This transparency allows our clients to easily understand how their money is working for them.

As our client, you are the core of our business and we are committed to your satisfaction.  From the first meeting we begin to know you and understand what is important to you.  Over time we hope that confidence in our abilities translates into comfort, allowing you to focus on what YOU enjoy doing.


Conversation

  • To best understand your needs, we talk with you.  This allows us to obtain information we use to help achieve your goals.  We do not ask you to complete a questionnaire.
  • With a complete and thorough understanding of your current position, investment time horizon, related risk tolerance and need for cash from the portfolio, we establish your personal asset allocation range.
  • We are aware that changes will occur.  Our frequent contact allows adjustments to be made in keeping your investment strategy current, effectively reducing unnecessary risk to your portfolio.


Connection 

  • Our desire is to meet with you on a quarterly basis, whenever possible.   If a meeting cannot be scheduled, you receive your quarterly reports in writing and we connect through other means.
  • We connect with you based on your preferences, not ours.


Service and Support

  • Our experienced staff works closely with our portfolio managers to provide you with customer care you deserve.  They are responsible for balancing client account statements, managing client and custodian communication and providing administrative support.
